I founded Blue Bamboo Music in 1986, primarily as a vehicle for my own work as a jazz musician and composer. Over the years my associates and I have delved into publishing, casino show production, composition, recording and releasing our work to the world. We have had various levels of success in these many areas, but along the way have managed to gather some valuable knowledge of the music business and to create some truly wonderful music.
For a period of time, we were located in Slidell, LA, and hurricane Katrina forced our relocation to Houston, Texas. After about a year of downtime, the label re-emerged with the release of my most recent release, Awakenings. Following the release of Awakenings, I expanded the label and have since released 8 projects featuring the best of my musical associates, fantastic writers and performers, all. Our roster now proudly features Woody Witt, Carol Morgan, Mark Piszczek, Joe LoCascio, Glen Ackerman, Mike Wheeler and Harvie S. All my CDs are here too.
We have 2 new releases coming soon - Houston vocalist Tianna Hall with Mike Wheeler and Mike Nase and a fantastic collaboration with Woody Witt and pianist Gary Norian. Many more titles in production.
